FONDA MEXICANA, New York

Fonda Mexicana New York is a fine dining restaurant loved by sophisticated New Yorkers, where you can experience authentic New York-style Mexican cuisine.
In Japan, Mexican food is still a relatively unfamiliar genre, with casual impressions like "tacos" and "burritos" coming to mind. Mexican restaurants are very popular in the United States, including New York. Many people enjoy the food and culture of our neighboring country, Mexico, at restaurants.

What we want to share with everyone in Tokyo is a wide variety of authentic Mexican cuisine and a sophisticated (yet friendly and fun) New York-style dining culture.

Chef Roberto's creative Mexican cuisine can be enjoyed in an international atmosphere where English, Spanish and Japanese are spoken. Margaritas, tequila, and New York and Mexico wines are also available.

We've packed the place with fun items and look forward to your visit.

Roberto Santibañez is the founder, owner, and chef of FONDA, a Mexican restaurant chain with five locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Nashville. He has also consulted for numerous restaurants, including Mi Vida in Washington, D.C.

Born in Mexico City, Chef Santibañez graduated with honors from the elite culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. He then helped open three restaurants in Mexico City and served as executive chef at "Fonda San Miguel" in Austin, Texas, for four years. He then served as executive chef at "Rosa Mexicano," a famous restaurant with branches across the United States, including in Las Vegas, Boston, and Disney World, for five years before finally opening his own restaurant, "FONDA."

His Mexican cuisine, which is modern yet respectful of tradition and essence, continues to attract fans.
His gentle and honest character has made him extremely popular on television programs such as "Good Morning America," making him one of the most popular celebrity chefs in the United States.
